TheRecreation Specialist is a front-line customer service and public relations position. This position is responsible for general administrative duties within the department and interacting with guests to ensure a memorable experience throughout the Resort.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for the guest's experience by providing excellent customer service and displaying a vast amount of knowledge regarding the Recreation department s programs, pass products and ticket offerings.
- Speak knowledgeably about the Resort and the Wood River Valley, including but not limited to restaurants, events, entertainment, attractions, and outdoor activities.
- Answer incoming calls and emails to the department with a pleasant attitude and excellent phone demeanor.
- Sell season ski passes, individual lift tickets, and group lift tickets and answer ticketing-related questions.
- Handle all Sun Valley Resort restaurant inquiries and reservations coming in via phone, email, and in person.
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints and/or direct them to the appropriate Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university preferred or equivalent work experience. Willing to train the right individual.
- General knowledge of the Resort, surrounding area, community events and activities is a plus.
- Experience in customer service, recreation and events.
- Ability to learn new software applications and experience with RTP or other CRM systems preferred.
- Highly responsible & reliable, experience creating trust and handling high expectations with guests.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Professional presentation in regard to dress and personal hygiene.
- Basic math and accounting skills are required.
