CLA has an immediate need for a full-time Marketing and Communications Manager for a public interest organization with multiple offices located all across South Carolina. The ideal candidate will manage the organizations marketing and communications initiatives. This includes managing and creating web and digital content to promote the organizations initiatives through its website and social networking platforms. Other duties will include leading web projects, generating traffic to the website, email outreach, and social media platforms, and participating in marketing and outreach. This position is onsite but can be located in Columbia, Charleston, Conway, Greenville, Spartanburg, Rockhill, Florence, Greenwood, or Orangeburg.


Sample Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage targeted marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and traditional media
  • Conduct market research and tailor marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with the legal team to create compelling content that highlights our organizations expertise and success
  • Manage the organizations online presence, including the website, social media profiles, and online advertising campaigns
  • Monitor engagement and sentiment across all organization's social networks and update social and digital profiles regularly ensuring they reflect the current messaging and branding of the organization
  • Analyze marketing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions
  • Oversees the management and organization of the organizations marketing collateral, including photographs, videos, advertisements, and any text copy pamphlets or brochures
  • Ensure consistent messaging and visual representation across all marketing materials and communications


Minimum and Additional Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Public Relations Communications, Journalism, or a related field (extensive experience may be substituted for field of study)
  • Post-secondary education in web design, graphic design, or job-related experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing, communications or related position
  • Preference for experience in legal marketing or professional services marketing
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media and email marketing
  • Expertise in LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and emerging digital platforms, including social media advertising management
  • Experience with email marketing (preference given to those with MailChimp experience)
  • Creativity and Content creation skills including drafting, graphic design and video
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality, accurate public communications
  • Creativity and innovative thinking to develop unique marketing approaches within the context of the legal profession and non-profit arena
  • Passionate about staying current with industry trends and best practices in legal marketing
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Mail Chim, Adobe InDesign
