Background
Pershing is looking for a talented and hardworking intermediate level audiovisual design engineer and consultant to join our team! We work on a wide variety of AV/IT projects for government, corporate, medical, higher education, and financial customers around the world. Our projects include the design of conference and collaboration spaces, video and audio production environments, command and control centers, studios, restaurants and entertainment venues, and probably some unusual spaces and systems neither you nor we have thought up yet.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with audiovisual and technology design projects, including the development of design package documents such as drawings, specifications, narratives, and other artifacts. The right person will have a passion for high quality, detailed design documentation and be inspired to research new technologies, develop creative solutions, and collaborate with a talented team.
LocationThis position is located in or near Colorado Springs, CO. While it is anticipated that the majority of your work can and will be done from home, there will be obligations to meet with clients and team members in or near Colorado Springs.
ResponsibilitiesAs an AV designer, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating on AV consulting and design efforts
- Coordinating designs with architects, interior designers, and MEP engineers
- Developing design and engineering packages in AutoCAD & Revit
- Participating in QA/QC process
- Researching new technologies and products
- Collaborating with team on process, tools, and approach
Qualifications and ExperienceRequired- 3-5 years experience in AV design and documentation
- Bachelor's Degree (in anything really - we have quite the assortment here)
- AVIXA CTS
- Government Security Clearance (current active and/or eligible)
- Experience with and proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam or similar
- Independently motivated and able to work under deadline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Bonus Points- Master's Degree or higher
- AVIXA CTS-D
- CCT, CCNA, CCNP, or CCDE
- Experience configuring and commissioning AV and IT systems
- Teaching experience

SalarySalary may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. The expected range for the position is $90-110k annually.
