Our client, a fast growing Athletic Footwear Brand is looking for a Footwear Designer to join their team in New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Design team to refine seasonal concepts, materials and techniques.
- Contribute to the design process from concept to production of finished collections.
- Work cross-functionally and in a timely manner with Product Development and Merchandising to determine style, materials, color and to develop a successful product.
- Develop innovative designs.
- Create initial concepts and ideas for new collections.
- Operate within the given design calendar.
- Ability to work closely with design team members to help design a cohesive collection.
- Research and stay up to date on current trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field.
- 3+ years design experience.
- Must have footwear design experience.
- Digital and hand sketching ability.
- Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong organizational, time management, communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in the NJ Office
