Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Meets all qualifications/requirements for Pack Builder 1 and can demonstrate proficiency of Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities of that role. Pulling Packs (Cutting LVL)
Accurately reads and understands printed Pack pull sheets including LVL measurment
Accurately identifies common material needed for LVL work orders
Locates, pulls and cuts lvl material called out on the pack pull sheet
Ensures proper utilization and maximizes cut efficiency to optimize material usage and minimize material waste
Safely utilizes multiple cutting instruments to properly cut LVL
Properly bundles and stages cut LVL
Properly labels all pulled material with jobsite address and sales order number
Wears all proper PPE while handling tools and product
Ensures all completed paperwork is properly documented and returned to designated complete paperwork area
Warehouse Cleanup
Cleans all work areas, ensuring all debris is properly disposed of and floor is swept
Keeps work area clean, organized and all material flat stacked
Ensures all trash is emptied at the finish of each shift
Ensures all products stocked for LVL cuts are stocked complete prior to the end of each shift
Operates Combi-Lift to stock and organize LVL cut areas
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
- Experience and ability to be certified driving a forklift and Combi-Lift.
- Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work.
- Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline
- Strong team work ethic
- Communicates effectively with team members
- Comfortable in an individual performance role with ability to receive instruction
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively complete all expectations of Pack Puller 1
- Able to complete all other tasks as assigned within the reasonable scope of role responsibilities
- Must have qualified as a Puller 1
