Customer Service Rep


Job Details

Perform the duties involved in handling a variety of account inquiries from patients, responsible parties, employees or insurance companies. Customer service representatives are expected to handle patient and payer inquiries and requests, assist with patient walk-ins and take actions related to patient account resolution. The representative will take patient payments, set up payment arrangements and reconcile the cash drawer daily. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. At least six months customer service experience or billing/collection experience required, medical office experience preferred. Must have strong conversational skills and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of insurance principles and practices, collection techniques, Medicare/ Medicaid regulations and commercial and managed care requirements preferred.
