Pay: Salaried, $73,000 - $80,000/year, plus annual discretionary bonus

Job Overview:
The Procurement Manager plays a crucial role in the strategic sourcing and procurement of raw materials, finished goods, supplies, and logistics services. This position demands strategic oversight and hands-on management to optimize supply chain operations and maintain robust supplier relationships. As part of this role, the Procurement Manager will leverage the strong network and industry expertise of SRG to enhance procurement processes and drive business success.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management: 40%
- Identifies and acquires resources, goods, services, and transportation solutions.
- Engages in strategic negotiations to secure advantageous terms and delivery timelines.
- Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Utilizes multiple communication channels for vendor interaction, including phone, email, and fax.
Inventory and Cost Control: 20%
- Directs inventory management and auditing systems, integrating MRP systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Regularly updates and maintains comprehensive records of standard costs, vendor transactions, and pricing data.
- Collaborates with various departments to clarify requisitions and manage inventory outcomes effectively.
Leadership and Team Management: 30%
- Leads and develops the purchasing and materials team, ensuring effective operations in materials handling, traffic management, and customs brokerage.
- Manages team performance, coordinates training, and enhances staff skills and knowledge.
- Provides continuous guidance and feedback through various communication methods.
Operational Support and Reporting: 10%
- Manages transaction entry and database upkeep, employing MRP systems for accurate record-keeping.
- Generates and analyzes regular reports to monitor procurement activities and inventory status, using data to drive decision-making.
- Ensures organized and accessible documentation of vendor agreements and purchase records.
Professional Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree preferred.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a procurement/purchasing role with leadership responsibilities or supervisory role in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in multi-tasking with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong computational skills for cost analysis.
- Excellent communication abilities in English, with proficiency in using technology for spreadsheets, databases, and electronic communication.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in team management.
- Approximately 25-30% travel
