General Responsibilities:
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Terracon is growing, and we are hiring a scheduling dispatcher to perform administrative duties in our Salt Lake City, UT office!

Terracon's Salt Lake City Materials Department, tests soils, concrete, asphalt and inspects masonry, reinforcing steel, etc. In this position you will be responsible for the scheduling and dispatching of services for 10+ technicians based on technician skill set, certifications, location, project, and priority. Technicians travel to jobsites to test and/or perform inspections. The scheduler takes phone calls from contractors and technicians, arranges the times and schedules/dispatches the appropriate Technician's to specific projects. The position requires communication with the contractors, Project Managers and Technicians.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, provides moderate to complex administrative support for an office, a department and/or group of professionals.
  • Provide a master schedule for materials technicians so that we cover all projects for our clients and ensure that they are dispatched to meet those needs and others that may arise during the workday based on technician skill set, certifications, location, project, and priority.
  • Independently researches and obtains information for complex reports and special assignments including analyzing data and report preparation.
  • Analyzes complex problems, compiles and analyzes data and prepares reports.
  • Composes, prepares, edits and proofreads letters, reports and other correspondence.
  • Answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages.
  • May handle calendaring, travel arrangements and coordination of day-to-day activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
  • Construction background is a plus.
