WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE:As our Janitor, you will begin your day by meticulously cleaning all areas of our manufacturing plant and process equipment, embracing a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for enhancing processes. Your commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) will be crucial as you complete assigned duties, maintain clean and safe work areas, and adhere to all required safety practices, including wearing personal protective equipment and safe chemical handling. You will take full ownership of food safety and quality, promptly reporting any issues to management and ensuring that the production environment is kept clean and sanitized. Your adaptability will be key as you transition between working in a team and as an individual contributor, utilizing effective communication skills to convey information. Additionally, you will eagerly embrace learning core sanitation functions and tasks while remaining proactive in tackling any other assigned duties.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree and/or technical school certification or a combination of education, training, and experience
- Strong mathematical abilities
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Apple products
- Ability to work 10+ hour shifts
- Physical ability to lift 55+ lbs, stand, climb, stoop, perform repetitive motions, and work in an environment with varying degrees of temperature and humidity
Preferred Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience with cleaning and maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated facility
- Experience in the food and beverage industry
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes
- Ability to follow instructions with great attention to detail
- Physical ability to work in a wet environment with dairy, dust, fumes, and chemical exposure
- Flexibility to work any hour of any day, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to continue learning and growing
