Site Safety Manager

Wolverine Fire Protection is currently looking for a full-time site safety professional for a project in Richland Township, Saginaw County, MI.


Must live in commutable distance - no travelers pay (per diem) is not available.


This assignment will begin July 2024 and is anticipated duration of 6-10 months.

Responsibilities to include: inspections, surveillance, safety enforcement, reporting, implementing safety plans/practices, etc. Experience related to Fire Protection a plus. Must be able to walking/standing for long periods of time.


To be considered for an Interview:

  • Applicants must have an academic safety degree of CSP, ASP or CHST designation
  • Minimum of three (3) years of prior work history as a designated construction safety Manager with ability to recognize safety hazards
  • OSHA 30 - hour within the last three years
  • Current certification in first aid, CPR and AED
  • Comfortable to take corrective action to keep everyone safe


At a minimum, the Safety Manager will be requested to:

  • Ensure their employees attend job site orientation before starting work on the project.
  • Take the lead in the recognition and abatement of hazardous situations.
  • Conduct a daily Safety Huddle before the start of each shift.
  • Submit a Daily Pre-Task Plan (PTP). Report each morning before the start of work.
  • Perform and document weekly safety inspections (1 per week at minimum).
  • Conduct at least one monthly safety tour with their Safety Director and submit findings.
  • Assist and/or record that Competent Persons submit, at minimum, the below-listed safety inspections at the designated frequency.


Must pass a background check and federal contractor drug screening.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
