The Sales Administrative Assistant role is based in Nedrow, NY and reports directly to the Sales Manager.

What you will get to do

Assist the sales team in generating and delivering SAP sales quotes supporting AGG for six sales people and clerks
System training updates and problem solving
Maintain New Customers Files set up from Credit Department
Ensure accuracy on sales tickets/ orders
Ensure PO's are correct. Fill daily quote requests
Create Pricing Sheets and maintain Price Lists through company systems
Work with Sales Team to enter orders, clear ticket exceptions, update pricing and maintain these records.
Provide exceptional sales support to customers
Work with sales administrators to provide project and order updates
Index and maintain tax exempt records for Aggregates and RMC
Utilize COMMAND/ CASHPRO, Process Daily Recap of RMC COD orders and CC transactions and maintain records
Consistently provide feedback to the Sales Manager to address customer service items as they arise.
Develop a working knowledge of the Company's product offerings, services, and core competencies.
Maintain organized customer information within company systems, including quotes, call logs, and follow up forms

Backup for answering Phones, receptionist - greet walk ins, sign for packages

Essential Experience and Skills

Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a sales-related role; aggregates industry experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, experience with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a plus.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Proven relationship management and customer service skills.
Goals and results-oriented with the ability to take initiative.
Team-oriented and coachable.

  • High School Dipoma or GED
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Experience using SAP
  • Knowledge of aggregate materials, aggregate properties, and/or concrete products or other related construction industry experience.

Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
