Wagstaff manufactures equipment for aluminum producers, who process formed aluminum into parts and products you use every day.

Pay: $75,000 - 106,000 per year, depending on experience

Location: On-site in Spokane Valley, Washington

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced technical product owner to join our growing organization. In this position, you will analyze existing business systems for improvement, recommend new system processes, and keep detailed reports of all structural and process changes. You must follow best practices and align with company goals while creating better procedures and solutions to increase performance and revenue.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate company systems and current processes
  • Compile objectives for improving and streamlining company procedures
  • Evaluate company performance, information, and formats
  • Analyze company software and hardware uses and needs
  • Track company systems progress and report on progress
  • Develop procedures to improve existing systems
  • Research and compare hardware and software needs to make recommendations for the company
  • Advise on best practices
  • Plan and implement supportive business solutions
  • Document and create reports on systems effectiveness
  • Recommend new system developments
  • Analyze relevant data
  • Translate data for presentation to other team members
  • Enhance company business performance
  • Create a guide to system updates
  • Present key information to IT teams for improvements
  • Estimate and establish costs of upgrades and improvements
  • Address issues of existing systems
  • Compile, write, and distribute system process specifications
  • Abide by company policies
  • In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or IT related field; master in business or related field preferred
  • Two years of previous experience in business systems analyst
  • Experience in translating user need into Agile methods.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel);
  • Able to analyze system records and translate data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Self-motivated and self-directed

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job on Wagstaff premises, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well-ventilated, climate-controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.

This job may require occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor, and use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.
