Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities in the Saint Louis area. This includes but is not limited to:




  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions
  • Performing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
  • Performing general building maintenance and repairs
  • Completes work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Assisting with the installation of new equipment and facilities
  • Maintains communication with other departments, management and employees and notifies them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
  • Ensures all paperwork is filled out clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures
  • Follows all required work safe practices. This would include lockout-tagout requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or related field
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Experience with plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associate's degree in a related field
  • Experience with welding and fabrication
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Experience with building automation systems
