Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities in the Saint Louis area. This includes but is not limited to:
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions
- Performing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
- Performing general building maintenance and repairs
- Completes work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards.
- Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Assisting with the installation of new equipment and facilities
- Maintains communication with other departments, management and employees and notifies them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
- Ensures all paperwork is filled out clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Follows all required work safe practices. This would include lockout-tagout requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance or related field
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Experience with plumbing and HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with building automation systems
