Illinois Workers' Compensation Paralegal Mike Agruss Law is hiring a REMOTE Illinois Workers' Compensation Paralegal with 2+ years of experience. Responsibilities: Case Management : Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all relevant documents such as medical records, employment documents, and correspondence are accurately filed and up-to-date Legal Research and Drafting : Conduct legal research on workers' compensation laws and regulations in Illinois, and draft necessary legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements Client and Professional Communication : Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, insurance companies, and medical professionals, managing communication to ensure timely updates and information flow Evidence Collection and Organization : Gather and meticulously organize evidence, including medical records, witness statements, and employment documentation, to support workers' compensation claims Preparation for Hearings and Depositions : Assist in preparing for hearings and depositions by compiling relevant information, preparing exhibits, and ensuring all necessary documents and evidence are readily accessible for the attorney Qualifications: 3-5 years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer required, preferably in a personal injury law firm Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor s degree preferred Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) is highly preferred Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills Talented verbal communicator and writer Compensation: $25 hourly
