Old Dominion Freight Line is currently recruiting for a Dock Worker Clerk. A Dock Worker Clerk will provide clerical support to the Dock Supervisor to assist in operating a productive shift.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide administrative support and assistance to the Dock Supervisor to assist with high levels of productivity and smooth operations
* Prepare and maintain daily paperwork to move freight including DOT files to ensure confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness
* Prepare a variety of documents and reports using AS400 and SAP
* Photograph the loading quality of all trailers
* Assists with coordinating freight, information and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency while minimizing duplication of effort
* Notify the Supervisor of load cut times and assist in ensuring they are met
* Assist the Supervisor in taking all necessary steps in the closeout preparation of a trailer
* Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
**Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
* 1 year of office and/or operations experience, preferably in the transportation industry
* Experience in using handheld computers/scanners
* Proficiency with AS400, SAP and Microsoft Office
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Detail oriented
