Kohler is opening a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility on 200 acres in the industrial corridor of Casa Grande, AZ. We are looking for passionate talent to join our team. In this role, you will maintain and troubleshoot robotic equipment and associated control systems throughout the plant. The Automation Technician also contributes to plant-wide controls support of PLC s, VFD s calibrations and safety control systems. You will be an ideal candidate if you are an experienced automation controls or robotic professional and are willing to learn and adapt to Company needs.Your Job Duties:Provide support of robotic troubleshooting and change oversProvide trouble shooting of 24Volt control systemsProvide operations support of PLC troubleshooting, instrumentation calibrations, and VFD trouble shooting as neededDevelop and maintain the operator and management graphic displays for production information, faults, and related dataMaintain documentation standards when interacting with PLC control systems, electrical drawings, and SAP recordsWork closely and coordinate with the Production, Scheduling and Purchasing teams on all project-related support responsibilities and activitiesAssist Automation Engineering with control system projectsAttend technical seminars and training to learn and apply applicable innovative products and processesAdhere to safety and 5s plant culturePerform other plant support as directed by the supervisor.Maintain training on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and proceduresSkills/RequirementsWhat You ll Need to Bring to the Table:High school diploma/GED equivalent required; associate s degree in Mechatronics,Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar field of study highly desired2+ years experience with instrumentation and controlsExperience with Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLC is requiredExperience with electrical troubleshooting is highly desiredDemonstrated strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and liftingThe flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operabilityA positive, adaptable, hard-working, and patient mindsetA willingness to help with activities that may be outside of your job scope, especially as plant operations transition from the construction/set-up phase to the final go-live phaseIt s a Bonus if You Also:Have previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environmentHave a natural ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivityWhy Choose Kohler?We empower each associate to #BecomeMoreAtKohler with a competitive total rewards package to support your health and wellbeing, access to career growth and development opportunities, a diverse and inclusive workplace, and a strong culture of innovation.
