This Yard Utility driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck within the yard. Trucks driven include but are not limited to belly dumps, dump truck, roll offs and semi-tractor truck with attached trailers. Job Description. Maintains a safe and clean working vehicle. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle. Understands and practices operating as prescribed in Athens Services Safety Rules. Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls before attempting service. Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and safety meetings. Works closely with Supervisors to improve efficiencies & identify problem or unsafe acts. Notifies Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Performs other duties as assigned. Attaches and removes pup trailers, belly dump & side dump trailers, transfer trailers and tilt/transport trailers to truck as needed.
