Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an exceptional Senior Procurement Specialist who will play a critical role in managing the sourcing and procurement activities for the Indirect Procurement Team. They are responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting data to create actionable insights for our indirect team, analyzing market trends, optimizing purchasing processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency in procurement operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and KPI Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Indirect Procurement activities. Monitor KPIs to assess performance, identify deviations from targets and recommend corrective actions.

Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to make informed procurement decisions and develop sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.

Cost Analysis: Analyze pricing proposals, track cost-saving opportunities, and recommend cost-effective solutions to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.

Supplier and Vendor Management: Evaluate supplier performance and assess their impact on the supply chain. Identify opportunities to strengthen supplier relationships and improve lead times. Assist in the negotiation of supplier agreements and contracts.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to procurement activities. Identify and mitigate procurement risks proactively.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are a plus.
  • 5 years experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related roles within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • MUST have experience with Indirect Procurement
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Tableau highly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
  • Excellent analysis, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
