Job Description:

Instructor for Computer Information Technology courses at LSU Eunice. Courses may include programming languages, theory of systems analysis and design, and Cyber Security. Instruction to be done Face-to-Face and online.

RESPONSIBILITIES

60% Development of first and second year course materials in the field of Computer Information Technology which entails but is not limited to: timely submission of course syllabi and supporting course materials to Division.

Instruction of first and second year course materials in the Computer Information Technology and other related computer courses which entails but is not limited to: timely communication of all grades to students and the Division and timely submission of Student Learning Outcomes to the Division.

20% Office hours, student advising, career fair participation, student progress monitoring, and degree transcript tracking.

10% Create and maintain private business and industry professional relationships to aid in the placement of students in internships and/ or work study.

5% Participate in University sponsored activities, committees, and programs as assigned.

5% Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information with 18 graduate hours in programming, systems analysis, or Cyber Security.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD in Computer Science or Computer Information with 18 graduate hours in programming, systems analysis, or Cyber Security.


Salary Range:
$38,000 -$45,000
