Birch Bay Water and Sewer District (BBWSD) is now accepting applications for a Sewer Utility Operator.This is a full-time position with a generous benefit package. The District is looking for an experiencedSewer Utility Operator, but is willing to give on-the-job training and support to acquire Sewer Operatorcertification levels. This is a great position for a hard-working person willing to learn and grow in a newcareer.Qualifications:Prefer experience in Sewer Utility Operator position; if not then 2 years experience in operations,construction, or maintenance. Applicants must have basic mechanical abilities and be willing to betrained in the specifics of sewer operation. Applicants with less experience are encouraged to apply.Primary responsibilities include the following; Performs a variety of functions relating to the operation and maintenance of theWastewater Treatment Plant and Wastewater Collection System, including Pump Stations. Performs standard laboratory analyses necessary for WWTP process control as well assampling and testing required under the NPDES permit. Also helps meet the requirementsto maintain the wastewater lab certification status managed by Department of Ecology.
Salary:$33.40/hr. to $41.73/hr. depending on experienceBenefits Included: District paid healthcare plans with a defined medical allowance, above the base salary, of$2,460.73 per month. A variety of plans to choose from and coverage begins at start ofemployment.
