Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is seeking a Labor and Employment/Litigation Attorney for a law firm based in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in California employment law, including experience with wage and hour laws, discrimination and harassment claims, employment contracts, class and PAGA actions, and other related matters. The attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients on employment law issues, as well as representing clients in litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.
Some detailed responsibilities below:
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including wage and hour laws, discrimination and harassment claims, and employment contracts
- Draft and review employment-related documents, including employment contracts, severance agreements, and employee handbooks
- Represent clients in litigation and administrative proceedings, including court hearings, arbitrations, state and federal administrative hearings, and mediations
- Conduct legal research and stay up to date on developments in labor and employment law
- Draft and revise workplace policies, conduct employee trainings, and provide day-today advice and counsel to employers
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
Must-haves
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- 1-3 years of experience practicing employment law in California
- Active member of the California State Bar + must comply with MCLE requirements
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle a high-volume caseload
- Experience representing clients in litigation and administrative proceedings preferred
Plusses:
- Additional licensure or education, such as LLM, MBA, or CPA is helpful
Pay Range:
$150,000-$180,000k/yr. Flexible for the right candidate with proper experience.
