We currently have an opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist to join our Operations team in our Salem, VA office. This position is responsible for fielding a of broad scope customer service requests/inquiries from agents, insureds and field staff. Responsible for coordinating the resolution of issues/problems raised by callers.
Responsibilities:
- Fields both phone calls and written correspondence (including e-mail) from agents, insureds and field office personnel.
- Responds to Billing inquiries
- including analysis of balances
- preparation of payment/premium histories as needed
- take appropriate action within defined guidelines to satisfactorily resolve issues, i.e., waive fees, amend installments, adjust minimum dues, etc
- Provides Loss Runs, copies of policies, copies of billing documents as requested.
- Report to supervisor/manager any customer issues received identifying a breakdown in Intact service, including the specific areas within the Commercial Customer Service Center and extending to Operations and Underwriting.
Requirements: - Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other data entry and spreadsheet applications and programs.
- Knowledge of, Enterprise Billing, Billing Services, Producer Management, Premium Audit, @EAS and @Vantage is desired.
- Must have communication and customer service skills in addition to analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, organizational and negotiation skills.
Education and Experience: - High school diploma required with Associates degree preferred.
- 1-3 years customer service experience required; 1-3 years P&C insurance background, Commercial Lines preferred.
