Job Details

Overview:

In the Prep Cook role, you will wash, chop, and mix hefty amounts of vegetables, meat, and other ingredients. You will be expected to keep ingredients fresh and consistently comply with the restaurants recipe standards. You will coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure that the kitchen is well stocked. Success in this role will be demonstrated by efficient food preparation and helping.

Responsibilities:

? Labeling and stocking all ingredients
? Following all relevant nutrition and sanitation guidelines and standards
? Keeping track of inventory and minimize over-production
? Remain consistent and follow precise recipes
? Reports to the head chef or cook and remains updated with daily menus
? Checks storage temperature at regular intervals
? Leads sanitation of kitchen and cooking equipment

Qualifications:

? Attention to detail, meticulously follow instructions
? Handling multiple tasks efficiently in a high pressure environment
? Knowledge/ability of various meal ingredients and cooking equipment
? Working knowledge of food and sanitation guidelines and regulations
? Able to maintain a flexible work schedule
? Able to stand for extended periods
? Able to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
