Coordinates activities involved with procuring materials and services for the appropriate facilities.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare purchase orders for inventory items for assigned facility.
  • Prepare purchase orders for supply requisitions for assigned facility.
  • Assist department in obtaining quotes from multiple suppliers.
  • Run report to follow-up on late orders with suppliers.
  • Work with department to research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
  • Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
  • Process Back Order Cards


NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in warehouse cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Assist as needed in company-wide physical inventory counts including the counting of parts and data entry.
  • Assist in writing and reviewing product specifications as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to (15) fifteen pounds at times.


COMPETENCY, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Proficient math skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to function as part of a team.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to change focus frequently and often while being detail oriented and well organized.
  • String work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, challenging environment.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent


PREFERRED:
  • Associate Degree
  • 1-2 years clerical experience
