Job Description
General Purpose of Job:
To provide observation for the patient who requires close continuous observation for protection from harm.
Essential Duties:
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
* As directed by RN, ambulates patient; accompanies the patient when being transported to other departments; assists with meals if there are no dysphagia problems; and maintains a calm, clean, and safe environment.
* Documents observations accurately and timely on correct form as appropriate. Immediately communicates significant information to RN such as changes in the patient's behavior or condition.
* Remains alert, calm, and professional, staying in constant view of the patient at all times.
* Does NOT take independent action(s) with patients.
* With proper education performance of EKG
* Other duties as assigned such as cleaning of rooms, removal, of trash and linens
Job Requirements
General Requirements None Work Experience None Education High School Diploma or GED Specialized Knowledge and Skills Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods of time. Interpersonal skills for effective communication. Excellent attendance Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and completion of mandatory requirements.
