****Job Summary****

Purdue University Global offers term by term, non-tenured teaching appointments to qualified individuals who are dedicated to providing quality educational experiences to students in Associates, Bachelors and Masters degree programs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to work in a professional learning community wherein faculty contribute to and engage in instructional best practice for adult learners in an innovative, nontraditional university setting.

****Our Opportunity:****

The PG Full Time Adjunct (FTA) position is a term by term, non-tenured teaching appointment. An FTA is required to teach 3 to 4 sections per term, with a maximum not to exceed 20 courses in an academic year. This role will engage geographically dispersed students in online Associates, Bachelors and Masters degree programs, helping them develop both subject matter knowledge and professional skills. The FTA has professional development accountabilities and limited service expectations but is not required to participate in scholarship activities.

****What To Expect In This Role:****

* Provides an engaging learning environment, maintaining open and timely communication with students and the University via Purdue University Global e-mail. Responses to student emails must occur within 24 hours.

* Provides a student-centered learning environment, enabling students to successfully achieve course and program level outcomes, as well as appropriate workplace skill levels.

* Evaluates student learning and progress by creating and applying course competencies.

* Maintains and submits accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress, delivering mid-term and final grades in accordance with the academic calendar.

* Strives to increase teaching effectiveness, to meet the needs of diverse students, with teaching and learning strategies appropriate for adult, working students.

* Teaches weekly synchronous or asynchronous seminars (in 10 or 6-week terms), as required by program or assigned by School.

* Leads message board discussions and engages students in relevant coursework or projects.

* Remains current with trends, techniques, and advances in technology that are applicable to the program.

* Additional duties as may be assigned by the School.

****What We're Looking For:****

* Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited university in Psychology, Education or related field and current BCBA or BCBA-D certification plus experience in the field of ABA.

* Minimum One year of related practical/professional experience and/or training.

* Online, higher education teaching experience is preferred.

* Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications and other video communication technology.

* Experience with the Brightspace learning management system is a plus.

* Excellent communication, organization and time management skills

* Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
