Graphic Designer


Job Details

The Graphic Designer conceptualizes and creates a wide variety of branding initiatives, digital and print campaigns, print and digital catalogs, and in-store signage projects. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for leading an in-house graphics team, manage their project workflow, and communicate the needs of the team to managers. Candidates should be passionate about interior design and have a keen eye for photography, design, typography, and be familiar with current print and digital best practices.


Our ideal candidate is a senior designer who has worked in agencies, in-house creative teams, has a background in corporate brand identity, and can readily translate feedback from multiple stakeholders into effective design. Candidate should also possess relevant design and production experience, and demonstrate ability to manage projects and improve their workflows.


Key Responsibilities:

Translate marketing objectives into clear, effective, and visually engaging designs.

Scope of projects include, but are not limited to: brand logos, emails, internal forms and documents, landing pages, digital and print catalogs, in store signage, web banners, newsletters, and printed and digital sales materials.

Assist in managing design team, including daily workload and individual development. Set clear roles, responsibilities and expectations for all projects to ensure design output is brand appropriate and completed on time.

Make consistent improvements to workflow and processes to increase efficiency.

Contribute to the evolution of brand image and ensure brand consistency throughout the company, including through the maintenance of a brand style guide.

Communicate project vision and goals to members of Marketing, E-Commerce, Merchandising, and Executive teams.


Qualifications:

5+ years of experience creating distinctive and visually engaging designs that embody brand voice and have proven effective in generating sales.

Strong working knowledge of Adobe CS, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, Flash, and HTML5.

Possess strong conceptual skills dealing with design, layout, and typography. Must be able to translate those skills into on brand designs that work across web, tablet, mobile, and print.

Experience with project management and team leadership, including photography and studio management and post-production processes.

A portfolio whose projects clearly communicate brand voice and message, engage the viewer, and demonstrate technical proficiency in industry standard software and programming languages.

Working knowledge of the print process (paper weights, inks, file preparation, etc.) is a plus.
