OverviewAFO is looking for a Grounds Laborer to work at Quantico MCB, Virginia. The selected candidate will function as a member of Grounds Section team assisting in the landscaping maintenance and upkeep of Quantico MCB grounds.Responsibilities
- Uses zero-turn riding mowers to cut grass.
- Uses weed eaters and edging tools to perform grounds maintenance finishing work.
- Uses chain saws, hedge trimmers, clippers and other hand tools to maintain shrubs and trees.
- Cares for flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
- Performs general grounds policing for leaves, litter, and other clean up.
- Performs other related grounds upkeep duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Two years of related work experience
- Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and equipment of the ground maintenance trade
- Knowledge of the hazards and standard safety precautions of the trade
- Possess a valid Virginia Driver's License
- Must be able to obtain access to Quantico MCB
