We are looking to add a Professional Groomer to our team at Monster Mutt to support an influx of grooming clients.
CORE RESPONSIBILITES (can include but are not limited to):
- Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet
- Trimming pets' nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears.
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners' instructions or standard grooming styles.
- Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have.
- Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process.
- Routinely cleaning work areas.
- Recommending suitable products to pet owners.
- Answering any questions clients may have with a friendly attitude.
- Keep the receptionist informed about pets that are ready for pick-up.
REQUIREMENTS:Expertise & Experience:
- Must be a pet fanatic - pets are part of our family!
- 2+ years of professional grooming experience (required)
- Displays a professional manner at all times.
- Having the ability to work under pressure while still following proper procedure.
- Time management skills, patience, and a positive attitude
- Ability to operate a phone, computer and learn facility software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with animal behavior, body posture and hair textures.
Physical:
- Bathing requires sitting, standing, walking, and lifting more than 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal hair/fecal matter, hot/cold temperatures and getting wet.

CHOOSEStart at an hourly wage for 60 days before changing to the commission terms listed below
ORHire on at 50% commission (or 40% commission if you are working with a bather thus allowing you to do more dogs and make more money)
30% on basic bath (Usually the animal care staff does these, but sometimes they need help).
