Clinical Research Physician, CNS
On-site New Haven, Connecticut
Seeking a dynamic, patient-focused Board-Certified (or Eligible) Neurologist or Psychiatrist (M.D. or D.O.) with a passion for drug development and clinical trials. The company is a highly innovative clinical research organization dedicated to advancing novel therapeutics for better patient outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a Principal Investigator (or Sub-level) for single and multi-site trials, and oversee and manage studies in the clinic. Providing medical oversight for clinical activities while overseeing study conduct and ensuring patient safety. You d work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Support the development of clinical trial documentation and trial-related procedures.
- Clinical activities: Engage with community outreach groups, local neurologists, physicians, and international medical/scientific experts. Identify eligible participants, perform structured evaluations, prescribe study drugs, and manage dosage control.
- Lead clinical and scientific efforts for the company and the Clinics, shaping clinical strategy and alignment plans with company objectives.
Qualifications:
- M.D. (or DO) degree with a current medical license.
- Ability to obtain an active Connecticut medical license.
- Board-certified (or Board-Eligible) in Neurology or Psychiatry is required.
- Specialized training in CNS disorders is preferred.
- Experience working with patients diagnosed with CNS disorders (Neurodegenerative disorders, Psychiatric disorders, Movement disorders, MS).
- Phase II clinical trial experience.
- Qualified to serve as a PI for clinical trials in the United States.
- Strong understanding of the drug development process.
