ACM is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join its team. In this role, you will have the primary responsibility of working with Solid Works software and Service Now to maintain drawings and process instructions to support the manufacturing and tool making efforts of ACM. Specific duties may include:

  • Creating drawings and prints using Solid Works software
  • Thoroughly examining, interpreting and reviewing blueprints and schematics
  • Resolving problems with current designs and determining methods of improvement
  • Assisting with design of production machines, process and components
  • Producing three-dimensional models, using computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Developing detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools and controls
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications with vendors, managers and engineers
  • Recording and documenting data
Specific qualifications include:
  • Two year technical degree (CAD Operation) or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Previous experience with Solid Works software is required
  • Ability to use all appropriate measuring tools (micrometer, caliper and protractor)
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to multi-task
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Physical Demand:
  • Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.
Work Environment:
  • 100% manufacturing setting
  • Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
