Job Summary:
As the Automotive Office Manager at Route 128 Honda, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dealership's financial and administrative processes. This is a full-time, individual contributor position in the auto industry, based in Reading, Massachusetts. Reporting to the General Manager and Controller, your primary responsibility will be overseeing and managing all accounting and finance tasks within the dealership, while also providing support to the sales and service departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive or retail accounting, with experience in managing a team and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting and finance processes, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, budgeting, and financial planning
- Manage and lead a team of accounting and administrative staff members
- Work closely with the sales and service departments to maintain accurate and timely records
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement
- Oversee inventory management and reconcile inventory accounts
- Handle all vendor and supplier relationships
- Maintain and update employee records and benefits information
- Provide support to the general manager and other department heads as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in automotive or retail accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience managing a team and working collaboratively with other departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (CDK preferred)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to accounting and finance in the automotive industry
