ABOUT THE POSITION

The Team Lead is a direct back-up to the Supervisor in the department and must work in conjunction with the Supervisor to facilitate effective productivity. The Team Lead sets the standard for an environment of cooperation, collaboration, and problem solving. This position is both a production and leadership role requiring the Team Lead to work in a variety of Molder department production roles on a daily basis as well as managing day-to-day planning, implementation, and problem-solving for the assigned production department. The Team Lead will assist the Supervisor in the achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production goals, and is expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage staff scheduling and monitor Team's performance
  • Ability to work in any of the production areas when needed
  • Manage product flow for the department
  • Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production and quality goals
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to employees, as well as informal feedback on an ongoing basis
  • Set-up and routine maintenance of equipment
  • Manage sensitive Team issues with discretion and confidentiality
  • Verify work performance by issuing established tracking systems
  • Coach Team members to improve performance
  • Take responsibility for the training, acclimation, and progress of new employees
  • Ensure all safety protocols are being followed
  • Responsible for maintaining an organized and well-maintained work environment
  • Produce required reports in a clear, concise, and timely manner

EXPERIENCE
