Our goal is to be the industry s best source, and best value, for complete turn-key construction, engineering and design-build services and related products.Across North America, notable projects include, The Purple Line Extensions section 3 in Los Angeles, Water Tunnel number 3 in New York City, Eagle Mountain Gas Pipeline and Kemano T2 tunneling projects in British Columbia, Canada, the Inter-Quarry Tunnel in Leesburg, VA and the Century Mine in Volga, WV.At Frontier-Kemper you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile, projects that impact your community.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentAs a CAD Designer at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Civil/Structural Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to:Description:Uses computer-assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Advanced Steel, Inventor and/or Navisworks) equipment and software to develop designsCreates and revises models/drawings (detail and assembly drawings)Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or projectSketches rough layouts and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leveragesand location of holesUtilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences tocomplete drawingsDesigns detailed models of structures, machines and productsDraws finished models/designs from sketchesUpdates Modeling/Drafting and Engineering StandardsSets up and maintains an organized file system for production models/drawingsConverts existing production drawings to Revit, Civil 3D or InventorCommunicates with tooling, QA, engineering, and manufacturing regarding new and revised printsRequirements:Associate s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months of related experience and/or trainingMinimum of 2 years of work experienceDemonstrated logical problem-solving skills, including conceptual and analyticalProficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and/or Advanced Steel software.
