The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing support, communicating, and ensuring compliance with
the Global Food Safety Policy Manual and PROC 7.2
The incumbent is specifically responsible for:
Ensuring compliance with the Security and Food Defense Policy SOP 2.5 - specifically related to
the tracking, issuing and activating/ deactivating employee and visitors' badges
Managing the overall process outlined under the Locker Use Procedures.
Supports FSSC communication efforts including memos, postings, etc.
As an individual, the incumbent must understand the Food Safety Statement, complete the required
training, perform work assignments in accordance with training and display an acceptable level of
competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and training requirements. Areas of food
safety training will include, but are not limited to, GMP, Food Safety Plan, Listeria, Food Safety and Quality
Statement, FSSC 22000/Global Food Safety Policy/Food Safety Goals, Visitor/Food/Site Security,
Emergency Preparedness, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
This position is the process owner of the Locker Use and Procedure SOP
The incumbent must fulfill any specific responsibility outlined in HR related SOPs.

additional and/or refresher training if he or she feels that it is needed to effectively perform requirements in
specific areas of responsibility.
Summary:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for processing day to day payroll and time and attendance compliance.
Supports HR Team with miscellaneous functions and provides HR services to employees. This position is
the first point of contact for employee issues within the assigned functional areas. The functional
responsibilities include - but are not limited to - payroll, time/attendance, file management and various
clerical duties as assigned
Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:
1. Initial point of contact between employees and Human Resources.
2. Process payroll for the assigned facility - ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
3. Administration and tracking of employee attendance point system.
4. Coordination and maintenance of HR and government regulated programs, including but not limited to,
federal/state labor postings, DOL 7-day permit, employment verifications, wage and hour law compliance and check requests. 5. Liaison to Corporate Payroll. 6. Enter required data into Workday (HRIS) system. 7. Support the HR Generalists and HR Manager with various HR assignments, 8. Clerical duties: maintain department filing system, log HR requests, create and translate memos and postings, sort and distribute mail and faxes, maintain HR expense budget and order office supplies. 9. Ensure compliance with Locker SOP (employee locker registration, fumigation and inspection process, etc). 10. Support special projects as needed. 11. Maintain HR communication boards 12. Responsible for direct calls. 13. Facilitate visits from auditors and government agencies, including FDA, to ensure compliance with the company's food safety, safety and security procedures. 14. Assist employees with benefits, maintain employee data base, supplement payroll, manage all insurance billings and maintain employee files. 15.Provide new hire benefit orientations, and enrollments. 16. Prepare and setup meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. 17. Directly responsible for all union and non-union benefit plans. Ensure accuracy and timely processing of new hire enrollments, qualifying events, open enrollment, etc. 18.Coordinate and maintain company records at off-site storage facility. 19.Liaison for vending machine vendors 20.Perform other duties as assigned. 21.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Computer literate (MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Bilingual English/Spanish
Other Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Previous experience processing payroll
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience working in a Union environment
AS400, Kronos, Ceridian, or Workday experience
Experience within a Human Resources environment a plus
Experience:
Minimum of one year clerical experience
Education/Training:
High School diploma
