Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

Classification: Exempt

Location: Hybrid - Within 2 hours of College Station, TX

Reports To: Vice President of Marketing


Position Description:


The Marketing Coordinator is the position for someone who can take ownership of processes, take initiative, and engage with the entire team. The Marketing Coordinator will help in managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new lead opportunities. This position will assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and will work with the Marketing and Commercial teams to generate new leads. This position will also coordinate corporate events, trade shows, career fairs, etc. and will support creative ways to promote the company (i.e. social media, advertising, email campaigns, etc.)

Marketing Functions - 35%


Able to create marketing materials via InDesign, using Canva or other resources.

Generate graphic designs for digital and print collateral and marketing displays

Skilled in creating and editing powerpoint slides, templates and graphics

Manage G-CON Social Media activities including analytics to track performance

Comfortable working within a CRM to load leads, send emails and manage nurturing campaigns

Assist in managing the marketing function of the companys CRM

Ensures the consistency of the companys brand in all messaging across multiple platforms.

Manage Marketing expenses and track to expenses to the budget

Manage inventory of marketing promotional items and place orders when needed

Maintain and organize the storage of digital marketing collateral in company share drives

Work collaboratively with partnering companies and commercial teams for communication of product roll-out and other marketing initiatives



Tradeshows and Events - 55%


Manages all aspects of G-CON tradeshows, exhibits and events. This includes but is not limited to:

Show logistics such as shipping, set up and breakdown

Ensure company presence aligns with the goals of the show

Attendee registration and accommodations

Pre-show communications, post show analyses and customer follow up

Coordinate marketing materials and promotional items required for the event

Work within budget

Some travel may be required

Seeks additional tradeshow and/or sponsorship opportunities each year

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelors Degree: Marketing, Communication, English, or a related field preferred but not required.

Minimum of 3 years Experience in a marketing, product management or sales support capacity.

Int. Adv. Experience with event planning and coordination.

Int. Adv. Experience using a CRM such as Hubspot and Mailchimp

Adv. Knowledge of social media platforms for business

Beg. Lead generation strategies and techniques

Adv. Organizational Skills

Adv. Communication Skills

Adv. Time-management skills

Beg. - Int. Understanding of life sciences industry

Adv. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and powerpoint.

Beg. Int. Knowledge and understanding of Search Engine Optimization

Beg. Int. Skill in web design using Wordpress, HTML 5 or related

Int. Skill in graphic design programs such as InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and Canva

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences to business issues.
