Wings Air Helicopters based at Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains, NY is seeking a part time Junior Aircraft Mechanic to join our growing team. We have been in business since 2002 and offer a variety of helicopter services including charter, curated experiences, tours, flight training and aerial cinematography.
Our dedication to safety starts with our maintenance team. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated and organized with a can do attitude. Our Junior Aircraft Mechanic will assist the Director of Maintenance with the routine day-to-day maintenance of Airbus AS350, AS355 and Robinson R44 helicopters, record keeping and parts and supply orders.
Prior helicopter maintenance experience is not required but preferred and you must be eager to learn and develop a deep understanding of the industry.
This position is part time with at least 20 hours per week, with some weekends and evenings due to the always on nature of aviation. The candidate must be locally based within a 1 hour drive of Westchester County Airport (HPN), with reliable self-transportation.

Job Description:
- Assist Director of Maintenance with routine maintenance tasks and recordkeeping;
- Perform daily checks of helicopters prior to flights and step in if DOM is not available;
- Communicate with pilots regarding any maintenance issues that come up;
- Order parts and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
- 1 year of working as a licensed technician;
- Must possess FAA A&P license and basic hand tools, SAE and Metric;
- Valid US work authorization;
- Fluent in English;
- Locally based;
Preferred by not required:
- Helicopter work experience;
- Foreign language skills;
