ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans all windows, window blinds and doors of dirt and debris in housing area. Cleans all ceiling fans and all light fixtures of dust and debris. Sweeps floors strip all floor areas and apply floor sealer to all areas throughout the residential unit. Cleans restrooms such as commodes, tub and lavatory sink as instructed using proper antiseptic techniques. Cleans garage areas such as floor, walls and shelving areas. Cleans all front, back, patio areas and yards of dirt or debris.
  • Collect and dispose of items left behind by vacating tenant or return to housing office for storage. Assists the maintenance laborers in assuring overall yard, grounds, fencing and drainage systems are in good repair that presents housing grounds to have a pleasant appearance. At times, cut trees, using axes or chain saws to shrubbery, trees or plantation. Collects/dispose of trash and debris from parking islands, parking lots, driveway and Playground/Picnic Areas.
  • Special cleaning detail as instructed using proper antiseptic techniques in offices. Dusts mops/sweep floor areas such as corridors, office areas, utility room, employees lounges, bathroom and other assigned areas daily. Removes and disposes of soap, paper and towels from dispensers and replenishes where needed. Empties waste baskets, cigarette urns, and trash containers for proper disposal. Clean restrooms such as commodes, tub and lavatory sink as instructed using proper antiseptic techniques. On semiannual basis strips and reapplies floor sealer to all office areas. Cleans kitchen areas such as appliances, countertop and other applicable areas.

Strips all floor areas and apply floor sealer to all areas throughout the residential unit. Cleans restrooms such as commodes, tub and lavatory sink as instructed using proper antiseptic techniques. Cleans garage areas such as floor, walls and shelving areas. Cleans and sweeps all front/back /patio entrance areas of dirt or debris. Removes soiled and/or disposal of contaminated linens.
  • Maintains a systematic inventory control of all housekeeping products including upkeep of all MSDS for all products in current status and available for review. Places paper supplies, liquid cleaning detergents, floor sealer and other housekeeping supplies in bins or shelves. Recommends for replenishment when expended.
  • Assumes responsibility for all tools and equipment issued and ensure a safe working condition for self and others. Inspects all tools and equipment for preventative maintenance schedule. Safeguards all tools/equipment in storage.
  • Implements and maintains a system of linen and uniform control and distribution for contract/transient quarters. Ensures that standards of quality of laundering are met prior to distribution. Collects soiled linen and carry to laundering area. Delivers clean linens to contract/transient quarters as required. Procedures must be strictly followed to prevent cross contamination of soiled linens to prevent bacterial fallout.
  • Performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled maintenance and custodial duties associated with the operation of Housing Management, Housing Equipment, Buildings and Grounds.
  • Assists Tradesman for semi-skilled building maintenance such as painting, plumbing, carpentry and other unskilled and semi-skilled trades work.
  • Relocates residential furniture during cleaning and between houses as directed, such as dining room table, chairs, couch, lamp stand, coffee table, bed frame for full and twin size bed, mattress, chest drawers, TV, etc. Provides or maintains records reflecting work progress for each assigned unit that includes inventory cost and labor cost.
  • Performs ground maintenance, such as removing weeds/trimming trees, operate weed trimmer and mowers at summer months. Performs snow and ice removal for the safety of the tenants and staff.
  • Assists with escorting of contracted services/FDIHB, Inc. staff for housing occupancy/access.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

One (1) year of direct work experience

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalency (HSE)
