Job Details
The successful candidate will be well-versed in the design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC systems, with a particular focus on Allen Bradley and Siemens technologies. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Design, program, simulate and test automated machinery and processes using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical controls, automation, and instrumentation systems.
- Develop and implement software solutions using Ladder Logic and PLC Logic to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Troubleshoot system problems and faults, perform necessary repairs and upgrades, and provide real-time technical support to production teams.
- Work closely with the engineering team to design and implement control systems for new production lines and upgrades to existing lines.
- Ensure all control systems operate in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancing efficiency and reliability of production systems.
- Provide training and support to other team members on PLC operations and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a PLC Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
- Strong understanding of Ladder Logic and PLC Logic.
- Experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical controls, automation, and instrumentation systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to electrical and control systems.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications in PLC programming and/or maintenance are a plus.
