Compensation: $20.00 per hour
A leading high-end food manufacturing company in Portland, Maine, is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Warehouse Laborer. This role is ideal for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who wants to support a seafood processing business.
Warehouse Laborer Responsibilities:
- Basic loading/unloading of pallets and trucks
- Forklift experience a plus, but not required
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Understand shipping, receiving, order handling, and material handling functions.
- Handle perishable fresh and frozen seafood products packed in totes, crates, and boxes weighing between 12 lbs to 50 lbs.
- Work comfortably in a wet and cold food processing environment.
Warehouse Laborer Qualifications: - Minimum: High School diploma or GED.
- 1 year of general warehouse experience is preferred, but training is available.
- Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift.
- A background as a laborer or construction worker preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
- English speaking is preferred, but all language abilities are welcome as long as English is spoken and understood.
- Maintain attention to detail and clear writing skills.
- Perform basic high school math.
- Ability to stand throughout the shift and work quickly throughout the operation.
Warehouse Laborer Details: - Pay Rate: $20/Hr.
- Schedule: M-F 8-4 or 8-5, every other Sunday during busy times
