Duties
Under the general supervision of the Superintendent, the Dean of Students works with the Principal
for Instruction in carrying out the school's administrative, academic, and behavioral programs.
The Dean of Students provides proactive leadership to engage all stakeholders in the delivery of
programs and services to support the student's academic achievement and personal and social
development toward a positive school climate.
Qualifications
? Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator Licensure with administrative
endorsement.
? Qualified ISBE Teacher Evaluator.

* Ability to promote and maintain a positive and effective school climate by ensuring that all
interactions with staff, students, parents, and the public at large are prompt, efficient, helpful, and
friendly.
? Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
? Ability to maintain effective public, student, and co-worker relationships.
? Experience and knowledge in relation to systematic improvement processes and quality criteria.
? Ability to handle all district information with confidentiality.
Salary/Benefits
The Dean of Students' salary will not be less than $75,000. Benefits include Health,
Dental, Vision and Life Insurance; Sick Days, Vacation Days, and Personal
Leave.
Additional Notes
12-month position (260 work days) from July 1st to June 30th with twenty (20) vacation days.
