Salary Range: $18-$20/Hour

As a Heavy Truck & Hydraulic Mechanic Apprentice at Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems, you'll:

Ensure the safety and reliability of our equipment for our valued customers.
Master troubleshooting and repair of hydraulics on heavy trucks, guaranteeing reliability and peak performance of our equipment.
Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose and repair vehicles.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as tire replacement, vehicle lubrication, and electrical and cooling system maintenance on both gas and diesel engines.
Maintain detailed documentation of your work following our procedures.
Collaborate closely with our service manager to expand your skills through specialized technician training and hands-on mentoring.
Take on additional responsibilities as required to support our team.

Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver's license
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Possess working mechanical knowledge, including using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
1-2 years' mechanical repair is preferred
Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach
Must be able to lift and move more than 50 lbs. without assistance
Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance
