DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grain / Ingredient Planning

Verify and process scale tickets daily.
Settle farmer grain positions, in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Maintain necessary reports, files and records, which are easily accessible.
Verify contract signatures and scan/attach in computer system.
Handle both internal and external customer inquiries with positive customer service.
Maintain required documentation for state and federal auditors.
Maintain good communications with location personnel to ensure accurate grain settlements.
Record and reconcile settlements/invoices on all ingredient purchases to ensure correct data is entered into ERP system for payment
Monitor vendor account to ensure timely payments are made.
Backup other grain and location staff key functions during their absence and seasonally.
Identify and solve problems and elevate unresolved items to the necessary individuals.
Work on special projects under direct supervision and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
May prepare outgoing mail, collect, sort, and distribute incoming mail. (Dependent upon location)
May greet and direct visitors.
Answer phones, assist caller, take message, or redirect calls to appropriate party.
Seasonally scale inbound and outbound products (Dependent upon location)
Other duties as assigned, such as duties specific to function supported.

Ingredient Sales

Preparing sales invoices
Reconciling Sales Contracts

Ingredient Sales

Meet expectations of all CVFF/CFG safety programs
Participate in CFG weekly fundamental discussions
Participate in daily and weekly team meetings as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Accounting or Agricultural Business or 5-10 years of relative grain or accounting experience preferred.
Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments accurately and efficiently.
Ability to organize, multi-task, embrace change, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Experience using Ag-tech (Open ink, Smart soft) Computer skills to include Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong math skills and attention to details.
Strong people skills, good phone, and electronic communication etiquette, follows directions, meets deadlines.
May be requested to work occasional Saturdays or additional hours in peak season

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to a weight of 30 pounds. Flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Some tasks involve repetitive motion.
Stationary Position: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 85% of the time.
Meet all bio-security requirements as outlined by Animal Care policy/ procedure.
Agricultural Environment Possible exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agriculture products.
