Job Summary:

  • The Dispatcher exercises joint flight release responsibilities with the flight crew.
  • The Dispatcher is responsible for planning the safe and efficient operation in accordance with federal aviation regulations and company flight manuals.
  • The Dispatcher preplans daily flight operations and informs appropriate personnel concerning changes in flight status.
  • The Dispatcher validates suitability of crew and aircraft for each scheduled departure.
  • The Dispatcher coordinates the optimum utilization of aircraft and crews during irregular operation(s).
  • The Dispatcher is responsible to stay informed of the status of all assigned flights during their shift.
  • The Dispatcher exercises joint release responsibility with the pilot in command within the operational control system to safely plan and release each flight.

What You'll Do:
  • Provides the highest level of safety and service for all Flight Crews, passengers and employees by creating accurate, compliant flight-plans to include routing, weight & balance, and aircraft performance.
  • Assesses departure/arrival weather to determine trip feasibility.
  • Communicates with passengers/support staff and alters aircraft destinations as necessary.
  • Files flight-plans with the Air Traffic Control System.
  • Utilizes all available tools to ensure safety and regulatory compliance are met or exceeded.
  • Exercises joint release responsibility in conjunction with the flight crew in the interest of safety.
  • Anticipates and proactively takes action to resolve future trip/dispatch events, situations, and opportunities.
  • Flight Following as workload allows.
  • Continuously looks for best practices and ways to integrate process improvement and efficiencies in the job function.
  • Coordinates with "handlers" for all international travel.

What We're Looking For:
  • 14 CFR Part 121 dispatch license preferred
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience

  • Thorough knowledge of weather theory, charts, and reports in the METAR format including TAF's and NOTAMs.
  • Must have knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, with an emphasis on Parts 91, 91K and 135.
  • Internship or prior work experience with an airline, FBO, flight department or airport is beneficial.
