Leasing Consultant

**This is a roving, multi-site position**


Position Summary:

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for renting apartments to both new prospects and current residents. This role also supports the Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager as needed.


Experience Required:

  • High school degree required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience in customer service and sales.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Entrada, and Google Suite.
  • Valid driver s license and current automobile insurance required.
  • Basic understanding of Federal, State, and local Fair Housing laws.


Expectations and Duties:

  • Rent apartments by generating traffic, responding to inquiries, touring prospects, and closing sales.
  • Maintain lease files and ensure property cleanliness.
  • Process rental applications and schedule move-ins.
  • Follow up with prospective residents and assist with community marketing plans.
  • Record resident service requests and assist with move-in presentations.
  • Calculate daily rent, pro-rata charges, and late fees.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and handle resident concerns with urgency.
