Summary:

Seeking a highly motivated individual passionate about collections, possessing strong communication and negotiation skills. Responsible for managing vacated residents' past due accounts to optimize collections, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Fully remote position with strong self-management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize automation and software for efficient collections.
  • Communicate departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and monitor department metrics, providing regular reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate collections information via SharePoint.
  • Liaise with Accounting for payment communication.
  • Negotiate short-term and collectible payment plans.
  • Manage relationships with third-party agencies and law offices.
  • Monitor and allocate recovered funds.
  • Analyze bad debt submissions and suggest improvements.
  • Manage subrogation files and other assigned duties.


Requirements:

  • Three to five years of collection experience.
  • Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Professional Collection Specialist Designation (PCS) from ACA.
  • Commercial Collections Specialist Certification from NACM.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in multifamily property management or collections.
  • Familiarity with Client Connect, Bloodhound, Yardi.
