Job Description

- This position is responsible for responding to emergency scenes (fire fighting, confined space rescue, and EMS), operation and inspection of fire apparatus and equipment, and security duties
- This position will require working rotating shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- The position also requires working overtime as needed.
Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Emergency Medical Technician training with current license.
- Current certification in either Firefighter I or Volunteer 160, and 40 hours certified hazardous material emergency response.
- Rate of pay is dependent on level of experience and certification(s).
Preferred Skills: - Paramedic-Advanced EMT
- High angle rope rescue experience
- Hazardous Material Technician
- 2-year Associates Degree in Fire Science or a degree or preparatory studies toward Public Safety, Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement.
- Knowledge of heavy industry
