Required Skills

  • 9+ years of dedicated energy management experience + B.S Degree in related Engineering field
  • Knowledge of federal energy requirements and programs and project lifecycle (preferred experience supporting Army or Navy)
  • Experience with energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, and building/facility operations
  • Understanding of project programming, funding, and implementation at Department of Defense installations/requirements
  • Current Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or ability to obtain CEM certification within 6 months
  • Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance


Preferred Skills

  • Project implementation experience through Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects, Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) projects, and Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects (**this experience is required for Huntsville and DC locations**)
  • Experience supporting energy service contracts (ESCO)
  • Experience supporting the development and implementation of energy projects using alternative financing mechanisms
  • Strong understanding of utility information systems, metering, mechanical and lighting systems
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense energy management requirements
  • Experience conducting design reviews
  • Experience with the development of energy resilience projects, including the integration of onsite renewable energy, energy storage, and microgrids
  • Knowledge of decarbonization and electrification solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emission associated with power generation and transportation


Pay range and compensation package

Salaries can range from $95,000-$127,000.

Day-to-Day

A Small Business is hiring Multiple Project Developers/Resource Energy Managers (REM) to support multiple government contracts. On-site work locations include Anniston AL, Brunswick County, NC, Lima, OH, Richmond, KY, or Crane, IN. The Project Developers will help facilitate the selection of contract through implementation phase. The candidates will support the development of energy conservation, renewable energy, and facility improvement initiatives for various Army, Navy and DoD facilities. Other responsibilities include the support of energy planning, including the development of installation Energy and Water Plans Conduct energy audits and develop energy conservation measures. Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of utility information systems, metering, mechanical and lighting systems, and federal energy requirements and programs. Candidates should also have experience implementing cost-effective energy and water management practices to enhance energy security, independence, and sustainability as mandated by legislation and various Executive Orders. This is a long term opportunity with the Prime contractor and offers full benefits. Compensation varies and will be determined by experience, education requirements, etc.
