Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist


Job Details

Our client is seeking to add a Senior Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to their Alabama operations. This role will consist of handling moderate to complex Alabama Workers' Compensation Claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must be well-versed in Alabama Law and hold an active AL Adjuster's License.

  • Oversee and maintain file maintenance on moderate to complex Workers' Compensation claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.
  • Monitor medical treatment to ensure the injured worker is attending scheduled appointments, continues to work and/or can be placed back to work.
  • Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys, when applicable.
  • Responsibilities also include active file management, effective reserving practices, participation in training activities, presentation of serious claims to committee and supervision of litigated files.
  • Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and adherence to department Best Practices.


Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
  • Must be well versed in Alabama Workers' Compensation Law
  • Must hold an active adjuster's license
  • Must have experience handling litigated files
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.


Salary/Benefits:
  • $80,000 to $95,000 annual base salary plus bonus
