Job Details

A Case Manager (CM) serves on the Resolution Team alongside the Tax Professionals/ Resolution Attorneys. A Case Manager guides cases from the hiring stage through the conclusion of resolution and operates as the primary point of contact for clients. The following are the primary responsibilities of a Case Manager:

1. The CM will serve as a point of contact for the client from start to finish in the resolution files that CM is working.

2. The CM will manage the client s case management file database, deadlines, and calendars and update the database as needed.

3. The CM will prepare, draft, and modify documents including correspondence, reports, memos, and emails.

4. The CM will work closely with the Attorney to ensure timely/frequent updates are provided to the client (30 Day contacts) and will coordinate with the Tax Professional to ensure the case is progressing towards resolution.

5. At the onset of each new file, the CM will work to obtain and file the Power of Attorney and the financial information necessary to keep the case on track for resolution.

6. The CM is responsible for reviewing each file periodically to ensure that we continue to work within the scope of our representation and identify any possible additional services needed for which an Upgrade may be required.

7. At the Initial Discovery Phase of our process, the CM will interpret and synthesize client s financial information/transcripts and thereby assist the Tax Professional/Resolution Attorney in identifying resolution options. Specifically, the CM will pursue information essential to drafting and completing a Financial Information Statement such as an IRS Form 433. The CM will coordinate with a Tax Professional to ensure the IRS Form 433 is accurately completed.

8. At the conclusion of each case, the CM will revoke the Power of Attorney. The CM will also request a testimonial or a client satisfaction survey from the client.

9. As needed, a CM will perform other administrative tasks to include scanning, faxing, copying, sorting mail, and answering phones.

  • Uses Microsoft Word and Excel as well as other programs in preparation of client correspondence
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
